Founded in the spring of 1939, the New England Renaissance Conference (NERC) is the oldest Renaissance society in the United States. Since its inception the NERC has had no dues, no budget, and no fixed center except the desk of its president (and now this website). All scholars of the Renaissance who are working in New England are cordially invited to join the organization, and are encouraged to attend our annual conference(s).
NERC hosts an annual meeting each autumn, rotating from one college/university to the next. Please see the links on this website to learn more about the past, present, and future conferences, and how to host a conference.
NERC is an affiliate organization of the Renaissance Society of America (RSA) and can submit up to three panels for the RSA annual meeting each year.
